About

Welcome!

My name is David. Who I am is something that is currently being explored. This blog is one place where exploration happens. There are others as well. I’ve been known to art on occasion. For three years I studied illustration at Sheridan College – School of Visual Arts and Design. Prior to that I lived two meandering years at Heritage College studying the Christian religion.

Since art school I have been working in the professional field of graphic design and have now come full circle. My feet are somewhat ready to attempt to travel a path into seminary and more intense religious scholarship.

I’m also recently married to my absolutely amazing wife, Amy. She listens to my rants for much longer periods of time than anyone should be asked to bear. Count yourselves lucky.

My life is defined by emergence. Nothing stands still. Because of this, I can’t imagine God standing very still either. I say this to give you a bit of a “heads-up.” I’m not intending to be your regular Christian blogger. I am not interested in being safely within someone else’s orthodoxy. I will dance on your lines (you’ve been warned.) And do please speak up. My thoughts form much better in conversation than in my own head (poor Amy). So comments are always welcome.

This space promises nothing of value; simply because the places where I find value may not be the same places that it is located for you, and I think I can live with that.

Thanks for visiting.
