i saw this video on another guy’s site yesterday. quite a summary of things. i suppose each side wonders how the other can’t see the OBVIOUS reasons why anyone with a brain would vote any way other than theirs, but this piece is quite appropriate. with all the sarah palin stuff of late, it seems like the evangelical voter is ok with running the nation into the toilet as long as the person has the right stance on abortion. ‘character’ is supposedly the supreme ingredient we need to look for, but if ill-advised wars, a low standing in the world, and abandoning a lot of our core principles don’t collectively reveal character, then a yea or a nay on a single issue that is likely not even coming up for a vote ain’t really worth a lot in my book.
