2.5

While Wordpress 2.5 sounds sexy, I hate having to update my blog structure every month. Why oh why can’t there be some sort of automatic update. Or is there and I am just missing it?

    well dave,
    i have an auto-update on my hosting for wordpress via fantastico. it’s not always up-to-speed but it’s click-easy once the hosting company updates their master copy. some addon’s/themes might potentially stop working but doesn’t look like you’ve got a lot of those going on.

    hey hey.
    where is your blog located? Or are you referring to the Christian Trade Mission blog?

    my hosting is pretty cheap, but certainly not free. I’d love to jump over when my contract expires.

    In reality this is just whining. WP does make it pretty stinking easy to update, but still, I hate it.

    David, I like the blog. Is this for people who are hosting somewhere other than Wordpress.com, I assume?

    I finally had enough of it and moved to Blogspot because I didn’t want to be forced to pay for hosting in order to do any CSS edits, etc.

    hey Jason.
    I already had the server space previous to setting up the WP install. My hosting is currently through 34SP.COM. They handle WP really well, but as far as I currently know do not have automatic updates. I had a Xanga page before this one, but I always felt self-conscious; like having to walk to school and being passed by all your friends on Vespas. So I gave in and fed my covetous spirit. Long story short, I’m quite comfy and would suggest WP(org) to anyone with access to cheap hosting.

    ah, yeah well i host the trade mission blog, plus brantfordartsblock.ca which are both in wordpress, but my blog is self-hosted blogger (and i dont really update it these days) http://www.unnormal.ca/optimus
